Before all else, Fang came out of a need to exorcize excess angst. That our depository of such riotous emotions took on the form it did was only a matter of chance; chance and an outsized portion of obstinacy. Upon the completion of the first issue we ourselves are taken aback by the final result.

Above all else, we are grateful for your continued support; support that encourages us to keep going amidst a vast, tangled field of doubts. We send this issue off to you today as an emblem of our inextricability. The mouth that swallows us all unites us all.
